GABION RETAINING WALLS

Gabion retaining wall are monolithic gravity mass structures using wire mesh baskets filled with rocks. They are highly permeable flexible structures ideally suited for slope stabilization & erosion control. Unlike traditional concrete walls, they are flexible and able to dissipate hydrostatic pressure plus withstand movements from undercutting or land slippage. These structures are designed using the same methology used as crib walls and can be constructed with a batter or on a level plane.
